Begining with an empty box

Kyle and I are pretty excited. Last week, we made the decision that we are very interested in pursuing international adoption. I have been spending every spare moment on the computer researching and requesting information packets from adoption agencies from across the country. We know it will be a long road, but we can't help feeling a little giddy. It may take several years, but we are confident that the wait will be more than worth the joy of a child or two to share our lives with. Today we labeled a file box "adoption", and I thought we should take a picture to look back at. It sounds like we're facing a Mount Everest of paperwork in the years ahead. This is fitting, as we're hoping to adopt from Nepal! Because Nepal has a requirement that parents be 30 years older than the children they adopt, we will spend the next year seeking an agency and saving money.
